Specializing in wire harness testing, Yuzhan provides comprehensive electrical and mechanical testing for quality verification, including continuity, hipot, pull force, and environmental testing.

100% continuity testing verifies every connection. Automated systems detect opens, shorts, and mis-wires. Automotive harnesses require IATF 16949 documentation; medical cables require hipot testing for patient safety certification.

Hipot (dielectric withstand) testing applies high voltage to verify insulation integrity. Test voltages from 500V to 3000V AC/DC suit various safety standards. Aerospace/defense applications require insulation resistance (megohm) testing per MIL specifications.

Crimping quality is verified by calibrated pull force testing per UL 486A/C. Our quality systems maintain equipment calibration and document results for traceability. Custom functional test fixtures enable testing with actual mating connectors.

Testing FAQ

What testing is performed on every harness?

Every harness receives 100% continuity testing to verify all connections. This includes checking for proper connections, shorts, and opens. Visual inspection is also performed on every unit. Additional testing (hipot, pull force, etc.) is performed based on customer requirements.

Do you provide test reports?

Yes, we provide test reports as requested. Standard test data can be provided showing test parameters and pass/fail results. For applications requiring detailed documentation, we can provide individual test records with serial number traceability.

What is hipot testing and when is it required?

High-potential (hipot) testing applies high voltage between conductors to verify insulation integrity. It’s typically required for safety-critical applications, medical devices, and products requiring UL or other safety certification. Test voltages and parameters are specified by the customer.

Can you perform functional testing?

Yes, we can develop custom functional test procedures and fixtures for your specific product. This may include testing with actual mating connectors, applying power, or verifying specific electrical parameters. Custom test development is quoted based on requirements.
